The Methanol Industry Environment.

The methanol industry (producers, consumers and service providers) is a part of the Oil&Gas as well as the Chemical industry.

Methanol is a global commodity. Production is shifting from traditional to off-shore locations. Global change is taking place amongst producers, consumers and service providers.

Environmental and political factors will impact the future size and shape of the industry. The use of methanol as fuel in MTBE and Fuel Cells is in a critical phase of development.

Business models are changing as a result of globalization. Information technology has provided new tools to support business models.
